Start or end your safari with 6 days in vibrant Cape Town – explore the Cape of Good Hope, meet penguins at Boulders Beach, and enjoy the stunning Winelands.

A few days in charming Cape Town is the perfect way to begin or end your safari in southern Africa. If you’re travelling via Johannesburg, this is your chance to experience the city locals fondly call the Mother City.

On this 6-day tour, you’ll uncover Cape Town’s dramatic history on a half-day walking tour through its historic heart. Wander past heritage buildings, colourful streets, and hear stories that bring the city’s past and present to life.

A full-day Cape Peninsula tour takes you along rugged coastlines and sweeping bays to the legendary Cape of Good Hope – the most south-western tip of Africa. You’ll also enjoy close-up encounters with the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach, and stroll through the magnificent Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain before returning to the city.

Another highlight is a full-day journey into the Winelands, visiting Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek. Here you’ll taste superb (often award-winning) wines surrounded by majestic mountain scenery. Even if wine isn’t your thing, the landscapes, history, and charming towns make it an unforgettable day.

There’s also time to explore Cape Town at your own pace. Take the ferry to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, ride the cable car up Table Mountain for spectacular views, or wander the lively Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with its shops, restaurants, and harbour views.
