Victoria Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world, and it is a magnificent sight at any time of year – the perfect end to your safari!
The thunderous roar of the Falls can be heard for miles around, giving rise to its traditional name, Mosi-oa-Tunya or ‘The Smoke That Thunders’. Water flow on the Zimbabwean side is permanent but the volume changes with the seasons. if you’re visiting between February and June, when the water flow in the Zambezi River is at its peak, expect to get very wet from the spray, while during low water levels in October/November you’ll have panoramic views with less water and no spray.
Our exquisite lodge lies 7kms upstream from the Falls, at the original crossing point where supplies were ferried and cattle were swum across to the opposite bank of the mighty Zambezi River. This luxury lodge is a favourite with our guests and requests to postpone the flight home to stay longer here have been heard!
Boat trips on the river, game drives in Zambezi National Park, and a guided visit to the Falls are included during your stay.
