A few days in charming Cape Town is the perfect way to start or end your safari in southern Africa. If you are travelling through Johannesburg this is an ideal opportunity to visit what is known locally as the Mother City.
On this 6 day tour you’ll learn about the dramatic history of Cape Town and South Africa on a half-day walking tour of the historic Mother City.
On a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula you’ll follow the rocky coastline and lovely bays along the peninsula to the southwestern most point of Africa – the fabled Cape of Good Hope. Enjoy close-up views of a colony of African (Jackass) penguins at Boulder Beach and visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain before returning to the city.
Another full-day tour takes you to the exceptional Winelands region of Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek where you’ll have the opportunity to sample high quality (and often award-winning) red and white wines. The majestic scenery in the area is unparalleled so even if you don’t drink wine, the countryside and the history make it well worth the visit.
Free time for optional visits to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, spectacular views from Table Mountain and the famous Victoria & Albert Waterfront.
Daily departures.
Escorted from Cape Town by local guides.
