This Two Rivers in Zambia safari is a favourite with our guests. You’ll discover why when you stay in these small and exclusive owner-operated camps in two of Zambia’s premier wildlife destinations – the South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks.
These parks are much less visited than their counterparts in Botswana, Tanzania, or Kenya and you’ll seldom see another vehicle on your game drives. South Luangwa is known as the birthplace of walking safaris in Africa, thanks to the legendary Norman Carr, and Zambia’s highly qualified walking guides are among the best on the continent. Along with discussions about wildlife and vegetation your guides will also share their culture and traditions with you.
The wildlife in these parks is exceptional and includes endangered African Wild Dogs, lions, elephants, buffalo, and much more. Watching a herd of elephants crossing the Luangwa River is a memory you will cherish forever. South Luangwa has one of the highest densities of leopards in Africa and sightings of this elusive big cat are frequent. Night game drives allow you to see them when they are most active.
As well as walks and game drives in these two magnificent National Parks optional activities include boat trips on the mighty Zambezi River, canoeing, and tiger fishing in Lower Zambezi.
As with all our safaris, your Two Rivers in Zambia safari includes a donation to support local communities and wildlife.
These remote camps are very small and they often fill 12 months so booking sooner rather than later is essential to ensure your chosen travel date s available!
Optional extension: 3 nights at a stunning riverfront lodge in Livingstone, with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River and a visit to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls.
